Twitter On A Wall

One of the best things about a conference like Inman Connect are the social functions that take place in the evening. A group of geeks and intrepid bloggers decided the weather was warm enough to make the trek on foot to our second party of the evening at the New York Times building. As you enter the lobby of the barely one year old building you are greeted with one of the coolest multimedia art displays I have ever seen. Hanging from thin cables are rows and columns of mini video monitors that flash headlines in simple "matrix" like text. Teresa Boardman immediately dubbed it "Twitter On A Wall". The group found it to be very appropriate.

Not familiar with Twitter? Have you heard of it and think the concept is too geeky or doesn't have an application in your business life? Well, I arrived a little late to the Twitter party, but trust me, I get it. My next post will delve into the uses of Twitter as a business tool. Stay Tuned.
